I’m Joséphine Kabambi, a travel and wildlife photographer based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). I’m drawn to capturing wildlife and those fleeting moments of connection between the people I meet along the way.

Although I spent my later childhood in South Dakota, I lived in several countries growing up. That early exposure to different places sparked my love of travel and left me curious about the people, cultures, and places that make each part of the world unique. I later studied at Wellesley College and Columbia University and built a career in healthcare management.

Photography has become my way of documenting the people, cultures, wildlife, and moments I encounter along the way. It gives me a reason to slow down, look a little closer, and hold on to the places and experiences that have stayed with me.

My travels eventually brought me to the UAE, which has been the perfect base for exploring more of the world. I know this chapter won’t last forever, but for now, I’ve created this website as a place to keep my memories, share the photographs I’ve taken along the way, and hopefully connect with others who love to explore.
